Welcome PTA LEADERS

 Advocacy is at the core of our PTA mission to make every child's potential a reality.  PTAs are an important voice in making decisions that impact Texas families. .

 A well-rounded education includes the arts—music, dance, theater, visual arts, literature, and film. The arts spark creativity, innovation, and confidence while reaching students who may not thrive through traditional learning. 

 Communication is the key to your PTA's success. If your group is not communicating everything you are doing, chances are it is struggling to find support at every turn. 

  The Fundraising Chair is responsible for selecting fundraising projects that provide funds for the PTAs planned activities. These activities should be focused on promoting the PTA purposes. 

The Healthy Lifestyles Chair promotes student and family well-being by encouraging good nutrition, regular physical activity, and overall wellness within the school community. 

 PTA is a membership association. People join to show support of the work you do locally and the work we do collectively to help children, families, and schools. 

  The Parliamentarian serves as a knowledgeable resource to help the PTA conduct its business effectively and in accordance with bylaws and proper procedure.

 The President is the leader and primary representative of the PTA, guiding the vision and direction of the association.

  The Programs Chair is responsible for bringing meaningful, engaging opportunities to students, families, and the school community through a variety of events and initiatives.  

  National PTA Reflections® program—welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts.  

 The Secretary is the official record keeper of the PTA, ensuring accuracy and organization in all documentation. 

 The Treasurer is the financial steward of the PTA, responsible for managing, recording, and reporting all financial activity of the association. 

  Be sure to nominate someone today.  Whether if it's for National, State, or Our Council.

 The Council Delegate serves as the vital link between their PTA and the Council PTA, ensuring strong communication and collaboration across the broader PTA community. 

PTAs must comply with all of the following standards to remain in Good Standing with Texas PTA.  PTAs that do not maintain Good Standing will be subject to a PTA Retention Plan.

  Special committees are created for a specific purpose. The committee automatically dissolves as soon as they accomplish that purpose and they present the committee report, or the current term of office expires.
