Leadership Development

Each PTA Executive Board member has two Texas PTA training requirements. FOUNDATIONS training (Essentials and Basics) can be completed online and should be taken within 30 days of election or appointment.

Serving on an executive board extends beyond management and completion of your position-specific duties. You must understand the executive board's duties as a whole and the duties of an executive board member specifically.

Full Circle Leadership is Texas PTA’s very own leadership development certification program. Looking at the mission, vision, and values of PTA from all angles, the portrait of a PTA leader was born. By focusing on the five key areas of technical, intrapersonal, forward-thinking, interpersonal, and adaptive skills, Texas PTA leaders are able to enhance their skills to become even more successful and effective.
